Podcast–Travis Kiger on the Triumphant Fullerton Recall; Plus: Larry Sand on How California’s Teachers Unions Protect Child Molesters

Tuesday, July 10. Who says you can’t fight city hall? Travis Kiger, one of the newest members of Fullerton’s city council, talks with Martha Montelongo, Ben Boychuk and John Seiler about how a group of activists and bloggers unseated three well-entrenched council members in June. Later in the program, Larry Sand, president of the California Teachers Empowerment Network, discusses the fate of California’s Senate Bill 1530, which would have made it easier for public schools to remove staff  ”accused of sex, violence, or drug use with children.” The California Teachers Association vehemently opposed the legislation.
